Watercolor Painting Class

Enroll your child in this watercolor painting class designed for rising 6th-8th graders. Kids will leave with a finished painting ready to be framed and all set for 4-H judging and display.

4-H Watercolor Class 2025

Dive into the vibrant world of watercolors in our exclusive class designed specifically for rising 6th through 8th graders involved in 4-H.  Session dates are May 13, 15, and 20. Classes will be offered 4-5:30. By the end of the class, each student will have created a stunning, display-ready watercolor painting, perfect for framing to showcase at the 4-H fair. Our goal is to not only teach the art of watercolor but to inspire confidence and a sense of accomplishment in each young artist. All art supplies are provided.

Dive into the vibrant world of tempera/acrylic in our exclusive class designed specifically for rising 4th through 6th graders involved in 4-H.  Session dates are May 13, 15, and 20. Subject matter of painting may vary from example, so each artist has a unique painting.

About your instructors

Shirley Frist is a veteran elementary teacher and 4-H mom and grandma with more than 37 years of experience in teaching children in the public schools. She is an experienced artist who loves helping kids.

Jennifer Woodard is the founder of Storygalorey, an art class for kids. She is a veteran teacher with experience teaching kids in public school, church art  programs, homeschool groups, and  Storygalorey. She loves painting, collage, and  helping kids get excited about art and reading.
